About Candice Grant Hello! I'm Candice Grant, and I draw inspiration from the vibrant world of color. This passion fuels my creativity. What began as a spark during my studies in Graphic Design has since blossomed into a dynamic journey of self-expression through abstract acrylic painting. I believe that color holds the power to not only ignite the imagination but to deeply stir emotions and redefine spaces. Through my work, I invite viewers to see the world with fresh eyes and embrace the transformative energy that color brings just as it has profoundly shaped my own life and vision.

Artist Statement Candice Grant uses vibrant, bold art to express herself and navigate life’s challenges. Each of her abstract paintings tells a deeply personal story, reflecting her innermost thoughts and emotions. Through the use of striking colors, Candice breaks free from fear and shame, embracing the freedom that color represents. Her work is not just about self-expression—it’s about inspiring others. She believes that art has the power to energize, uplift, and spark positivity, leaving a lasting impression on those who experience it. For Candice, abstract art is a dynamic celebration of life, full of energy, movement, and the transformative force of color.

Based in Surrey, British Columbia, Candice shares her life and creative space with her fiancé Dennis and their Persian cat, Mika. A graduate of Loyalist College in Graphic Design, she channels her education and passion into every brushstroke.

Which piece of art you've created is your favourite, and why?

Experiencing an Altered Reality is my favorite piece I have created. What I love most about this piece is how the lines create a dramatic shadow effect. I love the shadow lines so much that I took them to the sides of the canvas to add a pop on all sides of the painting.
